Tonight your child will come home with this flyer. In school, each child has designed their own Christmas card (tea tower, coaster or many other options are available) They are available to view & buy NOW!
Click on the picture to see the discount code which gives 10% off until 11.12.23
Every purchase made give a percentage back to school PTA, where all money raised goes back to the children.
This year the PTA has given a contribution to each child’s residential trip, supplemented new resources in school, paid for selection boxes to be recieved at Christmas parties and much more!
Please support our school & enjoy your wonderful children’s creations!

Reading Circle

Love of Reading

At South Hetton Primary School, we recognise the importance of reading as a life skill and we take the teaching of reading seriously.

We believe reading should be purposeful and exciting and we value the joy of reading. Our reading intent is to give children a solid foundation of language and phonics teaching so they can enjoy stories as quickly as possible and be confident to talk about books and characters. Once children are fluent readers, we intend to submerge their learning in a wide range of fiction, non-fiction, plays, poetry and digital media to give them the skills of inference, reasoning and deduction as well as becoming lifelong readers.
